Christmas 2023 - a time to celebrate
Advent, which means "arrival", is the four-week season leading up to Christmas. It's a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus, reflect on His humble birth, and be part of the joyful anticipation of when He will come again to reunite Heaven and Earth.
There's lots of activity at the church around this time, and we invite everyone to share in the celebrations throughout December. Contact the church office for more information.
- Sundays at 10:30 am: Each week the morning service includes lighting the Advent candle (4 candles representing hope, peace, love and joy – 1 lit each week)
- Wednesday Night Advent Soup and Prayer on December 13 and December 20. A calm and lovely midweek service with music. A simple meal of soup and bread at 5:30 pm is followed by a half-hour evening prayer service at 6:30.
- Caroling around our outdoor Christmas tree on Sunday, December 17 at 4 pm. Songs, cookies and hot chocolate for all!
