What we do: an active church community
Activities in the Church
These are challenging times, but our parish community is very much alive and well. Everyone is welcome to join us remotely now, and then in-person once restrictions are lifted.
We gather for worship every Sunday evening on Zoom at 7 pm.
Contact us if you want an invitation. The process is easy!
Groups also gather via Zoom each week for:
Bible Study - Wednesday at 1 pm
Book Club - Wednesday at 7 pm
Christian Meditation - Thursday at :730 pm
(In normal times, we also have a choir...)
Contact us if you'd like to participate in any of these activities.
We also support the community we live in by providing meeting space to non-church groups. Once restrictions are lifted, we look forward to welcoming back groups including:
The people of St. Mary Magdalene are very involved in and support various local, national and international outreach programs. A few examples are:
Once restrictions are lifted, we will resume providing monthly Eucharistic worship services at neighbourhood nursing homes.
We have a long and continuing history of refugee sponsorship, helping settle families from many countries in Winnipeg.
We support Diocesan programs related to our partner diocese in Central Buganda (Uganda).
